About the Artist

Maria Diakodimitriou is a visual artist based in Athens, Greece. She holds a degree in English Language and Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and pursued postgraduate studies in Linguistics at the University of Surrey in the United Kingdοm. For many years, she worked as a lecturer at the Technological Educational Institutes (TEIs) of Athens and Piraeus and held the position of Director of Studies in various educational institutions.

Since 2003, she has been active in artistic print design, and in 2005 she founded the art magazine Epoches. She has also studied Set Design and 3D Model Construction. Working primarily with paper, acrylics, layered print techniques, and multimedia, she creates three-dimensional, multi-level compositions that explore visual storytelling.

Her body of work includes seven solo exhibitions and participation in over 160 group exhibitions across Greece, the UK, France, Sweden, and Switzerland, presented in galleries, museums, foundations, theatres, and festivals. She has also exhibited at international art fairs in Switzerland, the UK, and Greece. Her works are part of private collections in Greece and abroad.
