About the Artist

Barbarella Sfika was born in Athens and studied painting at “THE ATHENS SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS” under professors N. Kessanlis and D. Kokkinidis, and graduated with an excellent distinction. After completing her studies in painting, she continued her studies at the sculpture department of A.S.F.A. under Professor Th. Papagiannis. She continued her studies at A’ workshop sculpture under professor N. Tranos. She holds an integrated master’s degree in visual arts, majoring in painting. She is a member of the Chamber of Visual Arts of Greece and also a member of the Association of Art Course Teachers of Secondary Education.

She has participated in individual and group exhibitions in Athens and in other Greek cities as well as abroad.

She has been working as a painter and designer, maintaining a painting atelier. She has decorated parish churches, kindergartens, nursery schools, restaurants, and shops. Simultaneously, she has been working as an art teacher at various high schools in Athens and other cities in Greece.
